A mock cover of the April 1938 edition of The Saturday Evening Post featuring Jonathan Winters dressed as a Native American in imitation of Norman Rockwell's original cover illustration "See America First. " The mock cover is mounted on board and is annotated in ink to the lower left "Nov. 12, 1969/ NBC-TV (special)," in reference to a 60-minute television special hosted by Winters that featured music and comedy based on Rockwell's paintings. Together with a feathered hat similar to that worn by Winters in the mock photograph. Also included is a typed letter to Winters, with original envelope, signed by Rockwell on his personal stationery, dated November 18, 1969, wherein he thanks Winters for "carrying me through those terrible hours" and discusses his interest in having Winters sit for a portrait.
