A black velvet ensemble worn by Ann Miller in The Opposite Sex (MGM, 1956). The ensemble comprises a tailored jacket with a sweetheart neckline and silk lining, a fitted straight skirt with a silk lining, and a matching belt. There are bias labels in the skirt and jacket reading "1688 4970 Ann Miller." Costume design by Helen Rose. Accompanied by two faux pearl and rhinestone floret broaches believed to have served as the original buttons and a copy of the film. Categories:
