The ball is signed by American League All-Stars Eddie Joost, Cass Michaels, Jim Hegan, Vern Stephens, Tommy Henrich, Eddie Robinson, and Bob Lemon and National League All-Stars Don Newcombe, Howard Pollet, Ewell Blackwell, and Preacher Roe. The ball is also signed by umpires Bill Summers, Bill Grieve, Artie Gore, and Cal Hubbard, who is a member of the College, Pro Football, and Baseball Halls of Fame. Additionally, the ball is signed by then Commissioner of Major League Baseball Happy Chandler, then Brooklyn Dodgers General Manager Branch Rickey, sportscaster Mel Allen, National League coach Bucky Walters, American League coach Bill McKechnie, and non-All-Star pitcher Vic Lombardi.
