A pair of Champion brand shorts game worn by Michael Jordan under his Chicago Bulls uniform. The cotton and nylon blend blue shorts feature an elastic waist and printed white "U.N.C." lettering over an "XL" basketball image on the lower front left. Jordan played basketball for three seasons at the University of North Carolina, leaving in 1984 to enter the NBA Draft. During Jordan's pro career, he was known for wearing North Carolina shorts such as these under his Chicago Bulls uniform. He claimed that he wore his NBA shorts at longer length to hide the undershorts, a style that caught on with other players who also began to wear them longer.
