A Tim McAuliffe Los Angeles Dodgers hat game worn by Frank Howard. The fitted royal blue hat centers a white embroidered "LA" Dodgers logo. Howard's uniform number "25" is written on the underside of the hat brim in blue pen ink. Stitched into the leather sweatband is a "Tim McAuliffe Inc./ 24 Lincoln Street./ Boston, Mass." tag, and stamped into the sweatband is a KM Pro Cap logo and hat size "7 3/8." Due to the facts that Whalen Monica, who obtained the hat directly from Howard, only ever attended the All-Star game and the World Series, that Howard, while a member of the Dodgers in 1958, did not play in the 1958 World Series, and that Howard's first All-Star game appearance was in 1968 after he had left the Dodgers, it is believed that Howard wore this hat during the 1963 World Series, his only World Series appearance with the Dodgers.
