A black lace and chocolate tulle gown worn by Dorothy Lamour as Carol Maynard in The Girl From Manhattan (Charing Cross Productions, 1948). The gown has a boned bodice of re-embroidered lace with a sweetheart neckline; the lace forms an asymmetrical peplum over a full skirt of chocolate and black tulle with a silk underskirt. No label present. Black lace straps have been added. Costume design by Greta. Accompanied by an image of Lamour wearing the gown. Categories:
