A heavily embellished cream skirt worn by Alice Faye in Now I'll Tell (Fox, 1934). The skirt has a solid seed bead ground with a paisley motif formed from rhinestones set in metal prongs and silver bugle beads. The figure-hugging skirt has a revealing side slit. The piece has been reworked in post production as it was originally part of a gown. Costume design by Rita Kaufman. Accompanied by a copy of Margaret J. Bailey's book Those Glorious Glamour Years : Classic Hollywood Costume Design of the 1930's . Categories:
