This solid urethane scabbard and leather belts with metal buckles and fittings was created from molds taken from the original hero prop during production of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (New Line Cinema, 2001, 2002, 2003) and was left unfinished and unpainted. This prop was part of a collection of authentic production-created movie props procured by official New Line Cinema licensee, United Cutlery directly from Weta Workshop and Three Foot Six Productions between 1999-2004 for reference in producing a collectible replica version for fans of the film franchise. The scabbard has a Weta logo, reference number, date, and notation about the project and recipient engraved into it. Length, 36 inches PROVENANCE Accompanied by a detailed certificate of authenticity confirming the history of this production made prop and its use in creating United Cutlery's The Lord of the Rings Weapons and Armor line of reproductions as well as the original Weta shipping label to United Cutlery.
