An ivory jersey clown costume worn by Leslie Caron in Daddy Long Legs (20th Century, 1955). The costume consists of a fitted sleeveless cat suit, a cape-like jacket with exaggerated sleeves that snaps to the cat suit, and a black velvet skullcap. The jacket is trimmed with black mesh and has a large black feather polka dot at the closure. A bias label reads "A-735 J #34 L Caron." Caron also appeared on the May 23, 1955, cover of LIFE magazine wearing this ensemble. Accompanied by a copy of the film. ) Categories:
