A blue grey twill suit worn by Linda Darnell as Trudy Wilson in Sweet and Low - Down (20th Century, 1944). The suit comprises a tailored double-breasted jacket with ebony velvet trim and buttons, hand finishing work, and a flared skirt with a grosgrain waistband and bias labels that read "42917-Linda Darnell" and "1 69 1 0615." Costume design by Yvonne Wood. Accompanied by a copy of the film and two colorized studio images.
