A 19th century style cobalt blue wool twill tailcoat worn by Montgomery Clift in The Heiress (Paramount, 1949). The tailored coat has an Acuna Hollywood label inscribed "Montgomery Clift June 26-48." Two Paramount stamps are present. The film was nominated for a total of eight Academy Awards, winning four that included Best Costume Design (Black and White) for Edith Head and Gile Steele. Accompanied by a black and white studio publicity image and a copy of the film. Previously displayed at an AFI exhibit at Disney World, Florida.
