A group of three ivory satin and lace prop petticoats used in Casanova's Big Night (Paramount, 1954). The petticoats are seen throughout the film, including a scene in which Bob Hope hides under one. Joan Fontaine and Audrey Dalton both lift their skirts to reveal identical petticoats. The first petticoat is embroidered with a partial Honor emblem. The second has a full embroidered Honor emblem. The third does not have embroidery work and is stamped "Paramount Pictures Ladies Wardrobe." All three have Paramount dry cleaning tags. Costume design by Edith Head. Accompanied by an additional embroidered Honor applique as seen on a frock coat, an original Christie's lot tag, and a copy of the film.
