A pair of original boots, one leather and the other suede, created for the production of The Lord of the Rings (New Line Cinema 2001, 2002, 2003) for use by Liv Tyler as Elrond’s daughter, Arwen Undómiel. This style of boot is seen being worn by Arwen during the horseback riding sequence in The Fellowship of the Ring (New Line Cinema, 2001) when she heroically rescues a mortally wounded Frodo Baggins from the Black Riders. One of the boots is made of grey suede and was worn during filming, and marked inside ‘Liv,’ while the second boot is an original prototype constructed of leather and painted grey for design approval. PROVENANCE Both boots were acquired from the original manufacturer who created all the principal footwear for the production. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the manufacturer.
