A Bono donated twice-signed Gretsch “Irish Falcon” guitar, additionally dated 2008 and embellished by Bono with hand drawn flowers and a shamrock. The G6136i model is Bono’s signature guitar. The U2 front man assisted in the design, including the color “Everygreen,” the motto that appears on the pickguard “The Goal Is Soul,” and Bono’s facsimile signature engraved on the 12th fret. The guitar was personally donated by Bono to benefit the Liv: Finding a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis Charity Auction whose proceeds benefited the CF Trust in the United Kingdom and the CF Foundation in the United States. Serial number JT06042287. Arched laminated maple body, two-piece maple neck, Gretsch G-Cadillac tailpiece, and High Sensitive Filter “Tron” pickups. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Gretsch and Bono, a letter from the charity, and the original auction catalog.
