A pair of typewritten letters from Joan Crawford to Bill Seay, both signed in blue pen by Crawford and dated February 1, 1943, and May 21, 1945. The letters are written on stationery with Crawford's address at the time and mark the beginning of a 30-year friendship between Crawford and Seay. In the earlier letter, Crawford begins by stating "your letter touched me deeply." In the second letter two years later, she talks more openly about her films and vacations with her family.
