The ball has been signed by Sutton on the sweet spot along with the inscription "HOF 98." Sutton has then added another 12 inscriptions to the baseball in his own handwriting, listing many statistics and accomplishments from his career. Inscriptions inlude "324 Career Wins/ 3,574 Career K's/ 1977 All Star Game MVP/ 58 Shutouts/ 178 Complete Games/ 5,282 Innings/ 3.26 Career ERA/ 4 All Star Games/ 774 Games/ 5 Career 1-Hitters/ 2.20 ERA in 1980/ 21 Straight 100+ K Seasons." Signature and inscriptions all in blue ink. Affixed to the baseball is a sticker from ReggieJackson.com numbering the ball "211/1000." While there are 1,000 balls listed in the edition number, it has been speculated that far less than 1,000 baseballs were ever signed and inscribed.
