A black jersey gown worn by Madonna in her Golden Globe-winning role as Eva Peron in Evita (Cinergi Pictures, 1996). The long-sleeve gown has a set-in neckline and waistband with gathering to the skirt, which has a graduated hemline. A sheer crepe panel attaches to the shoulder. A Palace Costume label is present. Costume design by Penny Rose. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards and won one.
