A handmade earring worn by Madonna and Rosanna Arquette in Desperately Seeking Susan (Orion Pictures, 1985). The earring is important in the film, as the search for the pair of stolen Ancient Egyptian earrings causes the villains to pursue Madonna's and Arquette's characters in the "Get into the Groove" music video. The earring has a hand painted molded plastic female pharaoh with metallic leather backing, imitation turquoise and stone beads. Costume design Santo Loquasto.
