A Wilson brand baseball signed in blue ink by Michael Jordan on the ball's sweet spot. Jordan announced his first retirement from the NBA on October 6, 1993. On March 31, 1994, after signing with Major League Baseball's Chicago White Sox, Jordan was assigned to the team's minor league system. During the 1994 baseball season, Jordan played with the minor league AA level Birmingham Barons, and he played for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League.
