A Rawlings Official Major League baseball (Selig) signed by Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. Sosa has signed the sweet spot of the baseball and McGwire the north panel, with both signatures in blue ink. In 1998, McGwire and Sosa were chasing Roger Maris' single-season home run record of 61, and both broke Maris' long-standing and highly coveted record with McGwire breaking Maris' record first, on September 8, 1998, against Sosa's team, the Chicago Cubs. McGwire finished the 1998 season with 70 home runs, and Sosa finished with 66. The limited edition baseball is numbered "1/70."
