Rick Griffin artwork from the album projects of Kerry Livgren and John Mehler. Livgren is better known for his work with the band Kansas, but after leaving that band he formed AD and created the album Time Line . This lot includes Griffin's preliminary mixed media on tracing paper study that show Jesus' profile in the clouds; a framed mixed media on paper of the final album cover design; and a copy of the LP showing this artwork. The second half of this lot is artwork for Christian drummer Mehler's recording project titled Beataltitudes and includes a framed pencil on tracing paper concept drawing of the album cover and a framed mixed media on paper concept design for this project.
