Gibson Guitar Sclupture, 10 foot tall, fiberglass. Alex Yanes uses bold colors and clean defined outlines to bring his figurative style to life. Born and raised in Miami, this artist's work encompasses the culture and vibrancy of South Florida. " My upbringing can be seen in the color schemes and content of my work...it's really Miami. I am a genuine product of this city." In 2007, Yanes' paintings were featured as set backdrops on The Learning Channel's hit show "Miami Ink". My guitar was inspired by the constant rush that today's society is always in. during these stressful times, it's easy to forget to breathe. Always on the cell phone, driving 60 miles an hour when the speed limit's 40, lacking the patience to wait for anything, it seems as if everyone is late for something these days. I wanted to create a work of art that grabs people's attention and causes them to stop and look, peacefully enjoying a second of serenity. Categories: Gibson Guitar
