Watercolor, pencil, and pen on paper, costume sketch for Katharine Hepburn in "Rooster Cogburn" (Universal, 1975). Many handwritten annotations including, “front pleat” and “a different blouse.” Signed by Edith Head. Accompanied by a copy of the book from Head’s 1976 exhibition at the California Museum of Science and Industry in which this sketch was featured. This film was Hepburn’s only performance in a Western as well as her first film with John Wayne. 18 by 12 inches Categories: Edith Head
