Western Union telegram dated May 25, 1965. Telegram reads, “Dear Ann now that the furure [sic] has abated about your great performance on Palace let my voice be heard you were superb love Lucy.” Miller has written, in pen on the telegram, “Ball” after “Lucy” and written, “Real thrilled over this. Called Western Union to be sure it was she.” Miller appeared on Hollywood Palace for the second time in 1965. Miller attributes Ball for discovering her.
