Gibson Guitar Sclupture, 10 foot tall, fiberglass. Vanessa Kocking is a visual artist that works with different mediums such as painting, elctronic inter media, and digital art. Born in Santiago, Chile in 1977, at an early age she was influenced by her parents, film director Leo Kocking and actress Maria Erica Ramos, to express her artistic language. At that time Vanessa was very interested in painting and in the use of color as a method of communication. Vanessa studied fine arts and graphic design at The University of Art Science and Communications in Santiago, Chile. Today she describes her paintings as" a way to create new dimensional and psychological landscapes in which connection is key". The inspiration behind this piece was the internal force that moves musicians and artists in general to fight for what they believe. This fight is a long road, most of the time full of obstacles which become nothing to compared to the desire to be where they belong...Under the light where they can express what they really are.
