Mixed media on a Les Paul Standard Gibson Electric Guitar. Carved AA maple top, mahogany back and neck with rosewood fingerboard, and BurstBucker Pro pickups. 39 by 13 inches (of standard Les Paul Guitar) WILD THANG is a distant cousin of Planet Silicon, another B.B.Kemp exhibit that is a plasticized by-product created five years before the hi-tech bust. Planet Silicon proved that bits and bytes of computer crap can be blown apart, then rearranged and re-framed, using early Adobe to morph the digital photos. The results were strange new worlds turned inside out, melting and exuding color. Beverly Kemp says "First, last and always I recognize my originator who towers above all my art teachers because she contributed the DNA to fulfill my artistic vision. With patience and love, my grandmother, Violet Vern Pruessner from Tightwad, Missouri, always offered a bite of sage advice with every bit of art instruction: 'Do your best no matter what you're given to work with, and don’t forget to cleanup the mess.'"
