A five-page handwritten letter from Janis Joplin to her boyfriend Peter de Blanc. Envelope present, dated October 1965. At one point Joplin and de Blanc were engaged to be married. In this letter Joplin discusses her concern for de Blanc regarding his depression and family issues. In part: "...You sounded fine tonight, Peter...Try to excuse me - or at least understand me - in my worrying, I try to be cool. You really did sound fine tonight. Depressed and beaten down sort of, but capable. That's what I want to say. You sounded like you were making it. Remember I love you..." 7 3/4 by 5 3/4 inches Categories: Janis Joplin
