Scotch magnetic tape, 1/4 inch by 2500 ft, 175 professional, dated "9/30/70," unedited. In August/September 1970, Joplin had returned to Los Angeles after a disastrous visit to her hometown of Port Arthur, Texas. She threw herself into recording her album "Pearl" and became engaged to Seth Morgan. At this time she was staying at the Landmark Hotel (now the Highland Gardens Hotel) where she died.
