Frank Sinatra owned this resort from 1960 until his gambling license was revoked in 1963, because authorities noticed the presence of one particular guest, Sam Giancana of Chicago. Frank Sinatra owned Cal Neva Resort from 1960-1963 with two associates, “Wingy” and “Skinny.” The summer months were the High Season for the resort and Mr. Sinatra built the Celebrity Showroom and a helicopter pad on the roof to shuttle the stars in and out.
