Check number 221, made out to South Hollywood Pharmacy by Ben Turpin (1869-1940) for $10. 50 on April 5, 1921. Drawn on the Bank of Italy, Broadway Branch in Los Angeles. The Bank of Italy became Bank of America. Check signed Ben Turpin. Check is framed and housed here with two black and white photographs. Ben Turpin was a silent screen star famous for his crossed eyes. Turpin was briefly partnered with Charlie Chaplin at the Essanay Studios in Chicago.
