A chain mail costume worn by Duke Leopold of Austria, played by Wilton Graff in King Richard and the Crusaders (Warner Bros. , 1954). The three-piece costume consists of a knitted silver twine shirt, pants, and hooded headpiece. Originally painted silver to look like metal chain mail armor, the paint has worn away in a number of areas due to use and age. The jacket has leather ties in the back. The knit pant legs are attached to grey cotton shorts that are torn from use and have button closures as well as having zippered calves and attached leather soles. The hood has snaps sewn into it to keep the piece in place. The pants have a Western Costume label with the typed name "Wilton Graff" sewn into the waistline. Categories:
