A tan silk crepe dress and bolero worn by Eleanor Powell while dancing with Fred Astaire in Broadway Melody of 1940 (MGM, 1940). The sleeveless dress is embellished with sequins and has a fitted bodice and a pleated skirt. The dress has a detachable matching belt with handmade tassels. The cropped bolero has short puffed sleeves and is trimmed with pleated crepe and embellished with scattered sequins. Costumes designed by Adrian. There is an MGM cleaning tag, bias label typed "6263" on the dress. Accompanied by two black and white publicity stills, one tinted, of Powell wearing this ensemble. Categories:
