A chestnut period costume worn by Loretta Young in The Story of Alexander Graham Bell (20th Century, 1939). The ensemble comprises a jacket, a blouse, and a skirt. The cap sleeves and hem of the fitted jacket bodice are scalloped and trimmed with chocolate velvet. The long-sleeve ivory blouse has a ruffle collar. The full skirt is quilted and has a train with scalloped velvet trim. There is a bias label in the skirt that reads "young 18905." Costume design by Royer.
