A peach bias cut gown worn by Tallulah Bankhead in Devil and the Deep (Paramount, 1932). Bankhead wore this ensemble for the first 30 minutes of this film. The halter style gown is embellished with rosettes created using seed beads, steel beads and rhinestones. Silk belt has an art deco inspired jeweled closure. The matching bolero with sleeves wraps and ties at the waist. Paramount ladies wardrobe stamp, bias label in dress "T. Bankhead" and bias label in the blouse "AE7." Accompanied by a copy of the film and three publicity stills for the film featuring Bankhead wearing the gown. Categories:
