Carved AA maple top, mahogany back and neck with rosewood fingerboard, and BurstBucker Pro pickups. 39 by 13 inches Wendy Ford Mackey My art has been described as “Remington meets Warhol.” Using oil paints, I express my fascination with the endless skies of Texas and Oklahoma, the loneliness of the cowboy and the innocence of farm animals. I love color and use lots of it. Once I think there is just enough, I add more. First using a brush or palette knife, I usually complete the painting by scratching away some oil to show the bright underpainting below.
