King Bacchus Mardi Gras Parade silver costume tunic with prong set rhinestones, teardrop shaped faceted drops and silver sequins. Also present are a crown, silver gloves, bags of "money," and detailed King Bacchus necklace dated "1968" and engraved, "Bob Hope Bacchus V." The costume was worn as Hope lead the 1968 Mardi Gras parade Bacchus Krewe. Begun in 1969 it is considered one of the "super Krewes" for its high profile "King Bacchus." Hope aired his experience on his March 1973 television special. This first time the Krewe had been nationally broadcast. Categories: Bob Hope
