This Gibson Guitar sculpture includes a photograph of Lloyd Maines and Terri Hendrix with the guitar. 10 by 3 1/2 feet The artist says of her piece: “'Austin Music Flows' follows the vibrational flow from the Violet Crown to the 'Live Music Capital of the World' creating a skyline of Austin populated by the music venues it supports and filling the skies with creativity." Debra Prather Samples A native Texan and Austinite since 1997, Debra’s artistic mission is to reclaim, recycle, reuse, renew, recreate and have fun along the way. A mixed media, photographic collage and jewelry artist, she focuses her style on functional art and altered images. Using images as others use color she manually constructs the assemblage and watches the concept unfold out of her hand into a visual experience. “Gibson Guitar has been very active in the Austin community. They are very musician friendly and this GuitarTown project is amazing. When I drive past one of those huge guitars around town, it reminds me of how Gibson has gone above and beyond to help prove that Austin is the 'Live Music Capital of the World'" – Lloyd Maines “Being a part of an art project that benefits the community was important to me. It goes hand in hand with creating music. It's about people for people. I was proud to be involved.” –Terri Hendrix Photo of Terri Hendrix courtesy of Kim Maguire Photo of Lloyd Maines courtesy of
