The outfit consists of a brown two-piece skirt suit, custom made for the actress by Bill Hargate’s custom tailoring shop, and a cream silk blouse. The actress first appears wearing this costume in Day 4: 6:00pm – 7:00pm (Season 4, Episode 12) near the end of the episode when it’s revealed that Dessler is returning to CTU to fill the position of director after the post is vacated by Erin Driscoll (Alberta Watson) who was left unfit for duty in the wake of her daughter’s suicide. Dessler’s appointment causes significant tension in later episodes of the season as she is suddenly required to work in close proximity with her ex-husband, Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard). The actress then wore this outfit exclusively in multiple episodes for the remainder of Season 4, and also appears wearing it on the cover of the Season 4 DVD box set.
