A blush silk chiffon peignor with lilac floral print and silk satin ties, trimmed in white maribou. Midler wore this while performing in the palm of King Kong’s hand during her historic 1975, Clams On The Half Shell Revue at the Minskoff theater on Broadway. "'Clams On The Half Shell' was designed by Tony Walton, who did a brilliant job on both sets and costumes. His set for King Kong blew people away, and was copied by people who should have known better. The extraordinary Lionel Hampton was also featured, and every night I watched from the wings as he stopped the show with 'Flying Home.' How could I follow that?" - Bette Categories: Bette Midler
