A Lucille Ball Christmas card to her childhood friend, Pauline Lopus, who lived in Celoron, New York, where Lucy spent most of her childhood. The card has a preprinted message inside which reads, “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year/ Lucy & Gary Morton.” Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope, addressed by Ball in blue ink “55 West 8th Street.” BallLucy lived with her extended family at 59 West 8th Street from 1924-1928 and grew up with her friend, Pauline, next door. Envelope displays a December 17, 1969 postmark from Hollywood, California. Ball Pauline’s name into dialogue on I Love Lucy .
