A group of three black spandex, short sleeve cotumes that transform into pink, yellow and orange silk floral halter dresses with matching black bowler hats that transform to reveal a bouquet of silk flowers with full length black evening gloves and illusion tights simulating garters. The costumes contain labels reading, “Parsons- Meares Ltd.” and hats contain labels reading, “Rodney Gordon.” The costumes were worn by the Caesar Salad girls as they performed during the February 2008 through January 2010 show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, The Showgirl Must Go On. “The idea for these came from Toni Basil, my longtime collaborator and friend. They were designed by Constance Hoffman, and pretty much stopped the show every night. The song was called ‘Bool-Ya-Ja-Da’ and was one of my favorite numbers ever.” - Bette Categories: Bette Midler
