A dark blue suit with white ribbon piping, gold-colored metal buttons with anchors in relief, and oversized pockets was worn by children’s TV host Captain Kangaroo, played by Robert Keeshan. Keeshan wore this style suit from the show’s premiere in 1955 to 1971, when he replaced the dark blue suit with a bright red one. This suit was custom made by Eaves Costume Co. and includes a tag with the handwritten inscription “R. Keishan” [sic]. This two-piece suit also includes an XL white T-shirt. Categories:
