Signed by Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong Acrylic on Fiberglass. Award- and grant-winning artist Margaret Garcia’s work consists of oil paintings that resemble Gauguin’s Tahiti. Her work is saturated with a wildly expressive palette. Flat compositional space is firmly rooted in the tradition of Mexican folk art. “I define Chicano art by making it,” she says. “My work is personal and also embraces the cultural common ground of my community and the history of Los Angeles.” Her paintings are currently in the collections of LACMA, the Laguna Art Museum, and the personal collection of Cheech Marin. She also completed the public art installation for the Universal City Metro Station in Los Angeles. The double-sided "Post Cheech and Chong" guitar celebrates teh comedy duo who got their start at The Roxy Theatre and The Comedy Store. Height on base, 10 feet Categories:
