A group of documents pertaining to the baptism of Penni Lane, the daughter of Red and Penni Lane. Johnny Cash officiated the ceremony, offering the reading and prayer as well as signing the official Certificate of Baptism on July 31, 1977. There are three sides of notes handwritten by Johnny Cash in black felt pen numbered one through three for Cash to follow during the reading. The readings are taken from biblical passages and move to a series of questions including, "1. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?" and finishing with, "Upon your profession of faith in Jesus Christ, let all who are here bear witness that this sister in Christ, Penni Lane is baptized in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit."
