Black and white photograph signed by Claudette Colbert. The promotional photograph by Ralph Morse shows Colbert as Cleopatra in the 1934 Paramount Pictures film of the same name. Signed in black marker on right. "Cleopatra" was nominated for an Academy Award that year; however, it lost to another Colbert film "It Happened One Night" (Columbia Pictures, 1934) for which Colbert also won the Academy Award for Best Actress. 9 3/8 by 7 1/16 inches PROVENANCE From the Estate of Michael Teague, close friend of Colbert.
