Color Glass, Adhesive on Epiphone Les Paul guitar. Cortney, who is mostly a self taught artist, has lived in the Cleveland area for twelve years. After graduating from John Carroll University with a degree in Communications and a concentration in Art, she studied fused glass at the Cleveland Art Glass Center and Streets of Manhattan Studio. She decided to pursue both her artistic and business talents creating Cinamin Girl Art in December of 2005. She currently works out of her studio in her 1918 vintage home in Lakewood, Ohio. Her collections have been featured in local shows throughout the area. She specializes in fused glass, jewelry, greeting cards, paintings, wine holders, and photography. She also has created commissioned pieces for special clients. Her paintings combine contemporary images with innovative freshness, splicing through the traditional boundaries of oil on canvas. She uses a vibrant palette and an experimental technique that gives her paintings life, personality and character. Cortney has contributed her time and talents to charitable art projects for both Cleveland Scholarship Programs, Inc. and the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. Most recently she painted outdoor murals as part of a local park beautification project. The "Cinamin Girl" enjoys doing things out of the ordinary like scuba diving, hang gliding and zip lining. She even ran a marathon and Olympic triathlon. She is a world traveler which fuels and inspires her passion for art. Cortne Read more…
