Acrylic paint on Epiphone Les Paul guitar. Bethany Jozwiak-Butler, who has her studio in Clintonville, believes in the power of art to challenge and uplift. Raised in a family of writers, wood sculptors and fabric/environmental artists she learned early to appreciate the beauty in people and nature as well as those things outside the box. She considers her influences to be Andy Warhol, Gustav Klimt, Bob Dylan, and Allen Ginsburg. Bethany completed her undergraduate studies at Capital University focusing on art therapy and painting during which time she also received awards for poetry. She later received her teacher licensure from Ashland University, graduating with honors. Currently she is an art educator at an arts integration elementary school in Delaware, Ohio, and teaches art therapy at Columbus College of Art and Design. Her work has been commissioned for theater productions, local and national businesses, as well as for private collections. Categories: Les Paul
