An honorary Norwegian Class I of the Royal Order of Merit medal given by King of Norway to Leonard Massey as a member of Queen Elizabeth II staff in connection with the King’s state visit. The medal is suspended from a red ribbon and housed in a hinged lid case. Accompanied by a card from His Royal Majesty King Olav V, a letter written on Windsor Castle stationery that accompanied the medal from Sir Kenneth Scott, Deputy Private Secretary and a booklet from the Ceremonial State Visit of the King of Norway in April 1988, marked on the cover “L Massey.” Case, 5 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches PROVENANCE From the Estate of Leonard Massey, former First Chauffer to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II Categories:
