A black velvet wide brim hat designed by Cecil Beaton for the Ascot scene of the stage production of My Fair Lady . The hat has white plumes and is labeled "helene pons studios new york, n.y." Pons executed the costumes for the production based on Beaton's sketches. Beaton won the Tony Award for My Fair Lady in 1957. Beaton also won the Academy Awards for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design for the film version of My Fair Lady (Warner Bros., 1964) starring Audrey Hepburn. Categories: My Fair Lady
