A Richie Sambora prototype Gibson electric guitar inscribed by Sambora. This guitar was to be a signature guitar produced by Gibson in collaboration with Sambora. The guitars were never produced and made available to the public. Stamped on the back of the headstock is “RS 002/ Prototype.” The top of the headstock reads “The Gibson.” The front headstock inlay is a Gibson flowerpot with a diamond hatch inlay on reverse; the truss rod cover is monogrammed “RS,” block inlays with “RS” inlay are on the 12th fret. The guitar has a single cutaway and a black finish, inscribed in silver ink “Richie Sambora/ It’s My Life/ Crush Tour.” Bon Jovi’s Crush Tour, referenced on the guitar, began in 2000 and evolved into the 2001 One Wild Night Tour.
